The Hi-Rize helps to get the paddle closer to the paddle when there is too much space between the paddle and the bowl and the spring and washer keeps the paddle down in the “action” as without it the paddle can push up off the bottom! This spring and washer set is a one size fits all upgrade for all styles of the KitchenAid mixer that does not come with a spring and washer on the agitator shaft. This will help keep your attachments firmly placed onto the shaft to help prevent damage and wear!
There have been changes to the internals of these new style mixers. The agitator/beater shaft is no longer held in place by a snap ring. The gear is now pressed into place and is not removable to add the spring and washer in the traditional manner. This spring and washer set couldn’t be easier to install! The washer comes with a slit in it, so you can simply thread the spring over the pin on the agitator shaft and then thread the washer over as well. Just like that, your mixer is protected for years to come!
One of the biggest issues plaguing the bowl raise models of the KitchenAid Mixer is that the paddle doesn’t get close enough to the bottom of the bowl even after making the necessary adjustment. This leads to ingredients not being incorporated properly and the inability to mix small amounts like whipping a single egg.
Thats where the Hi-Rize™ comes in!
The Hi-Rize’s™ Patent pending design allows for 4 height adjustments based on how the insert is oriented on the bowl tab. There is a thick side and a thin side, and the sleeve can be flipped, as well as the insert can be placed above or below the bowl resulting in 4 easy height adjustments to improve your mixing experience!
**The Hi-Rize is not designed for use with glass bowl
Does not work with a 3.5 qt bowl and combi-whip attachment.
